Advantages of using PDR over Bodyshops
Limitations to PDR
What is Paint-less Dent removal (PDR)?
Paint-less Dent Removal/Repair is a highly effective method for removing minor dents and dings from vehicles, offering numerous benefits over traditional repair methods. It requires skill and precision.
Our Technician is fully trained and uses PDR (paint-less dent removal/ repair) and GPDR (Glue paint-less dent removal/ repair) techniques to achieve the desired outcome.
So no need for traditional bodywork methods like sanding, filling, or repainting.
This process preserves the vehicle's original paint and finish, maintaining its value and aesthetic appeal
What PDR is best for?
Minor Dents and Dings
Ideal for small dents caused by hail, parking accidents, or minor impacts.
Crease
PDR can sometimes repair minor creases in the vehicle's panels.
Body Line
Skilled technicians can often repair dents on the vehicle's body lines where the metal is more rigid.
Larger dent
Larger dents that look impossible to do can surprise you and be removed by a skilled technician.
What's the process?
Every vehicle is different, as well as the dent.
Assessment
We will assess the damage to determine if PDR/GPDR is a suitable solution.
Not all dents can be repaired using PDR/GPDR; the size, depth, and location of the dent, as well as the condition of the paint, are considered
If the area effected has had previous repair work which involved filler then PDR/GPDR will not work
Accessing the Dent
Tools are used to gain access to the dent from behind the panel. This may involve removing interior panels, tail lights, or in some cases, exterior trim. In some rare cases a small access hole may need to be made, this is then covered by a plug.
Permission will need to be granted if this is the only option
Tool selection
Using specialized tools, We apply controlled pressure to the back side of the dent. This method gently massages the metal back into its original shape without damaging the paint. In other cases We need to use Glue to pull the dent (this option is no good if the vehicle has had paintwork)
Finishing Touches
The surface is carefully inspected to ensure the dent is completely removed and the panel is restored to its original form. If necessary, minor adjustments are made to perfect the finish.
