ECU Software Solutions
The majority of vehicles rely on numerous software-controlled systems to manage functions such as EGR, DPF and AdBlue, among many others.
When faults occur within these systems, they can leave your vehicle inoperable.
We can look at the software to resolve many of these issues.
How Remapping your engine works?
An ECU “remap” involves altering the software within a vehicle’s electronic control unit. Carefully adjusting the operating parameters in the program—often referred to as the “map”—we can enhance performance and/or improve fuel efficiency, all without the need for any mechanical modifications or additional hardware.
In many vehicles, the existing ECU software can be accessed directly through the onboard diagnostics port (OBD). However, some newer models require the ECU to be removed so the software can be modified securely on a workbench.
Once We have read the ECU data, the file is then written using Quantum Tuning. They refine the original calibration to optimise performance, economy, or a carefully balanced combination of both.
We then reinstall the tuned file back into the ECU.
The process usually takes less than an hour, depending on the vehicle and ECU type, with bench programming taking a little longer.
